Van Gogh Roosegaarde Cycle Path

Starry Night

There is a unique cycle path in Eindhoven, just beyond Nuenen. Visitors will be amazed by a beautiful display of light and colour, inspired by the world-famous masterpiece The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh: Glow in the dark cycle path. The Van Gogh Cycle Path is a magical experience.

Construction company Heijmans developed the innovative technology especially for this cycle path together with the artist Daan Roosegaarde, in which the pathway is illuminated by thousands of twinkling stones. This creates a show with light and poetry.

Roosegaarde: "I wanted to create somewhere that people would find amazing, technology combined with experience, that’s what techno-poetry means to me”. That is illustrated in this video from Studio Roosegaarde.
